I completed Hatha Yoga Teacher Training with AIPYS in 2006, and that same year received my Mat Pilates Instructor Diploma. Chrystiani, is one of the most creative Yoga Center teachers of Iyengar and Hatha Yoga styles. Chrys is also part of the training faculty and offers very interesting workshops on different aspects of yoga.

Rooting your practice from the feet

Are you aware of the importance of feet in your yoga practice?

Foundation Building

The feet are fundamental to the balance of the whole practice.

From them we will build each asana, taking maximum advantage of the stability that will bring the correct alignment of your feet

Opening Spaces

The feet receive the full weight of the body. An imbalance in your footprint will reflect on the knees, ankles and hips, as a result we will not properly align the column.

Any imbalance in the feet generates tension in the joints in the practice of asana and of course in your daily life. By becoming aware of your asana from that base we are opening spaces, aligning and building a safe and correct practice.

Distribute forces

Pada Bandha is an active work, which will enhance your asanas making them safer and more comfortable.

We will learn to distribute forces, make good supports and feel how we can root our asanas and make the energy of the feet go up to the whole body.

The workshop is practical, suitable for all practitioners who want to practice better and make it safer and more comfortable.

We will approach different asanas from that perspective, starting with standing postures, push-ups, extensions and ending with inverts.
